Cynthia Ann Crawford was born on the 20th of February, 1966. She is an American actress, model and TV personality. In the 80s and 90s she was one of the most famous supermodels. She was also a ubiquitous presence on runways and magazine covers along with fashion campaigns. Later, she ventured into acting and started a business. In her sophomore year in high school, she was contacted by an inquiry from a local retailer for modeling jobs, only to discover it was a trick played by two students. However, the following year, another retailer took on a few high school girls, including Crawford as a model, to work for them (including shooting a fashion show). Roger Legel, a local photographer, approached Crawford to shoot her photo. He was in charge of shooting another college student in DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford was the first model to be featured on the cover. The positive feedback and the image inspired her to get modeling. She started with a small agency. Elite Model Management bought it right after she signed. In 1983, she was a participant in Elite's Look of the Year contest aged 17 and reached the finals at national level.
